Only if life was a little simpler
Only if simplicity was not so boring
Only if boredom was also interesting
Only if interesting wasn't confined to what others did
Only if others were always thoughtful of us
Only if thoughts were a little more real
Only if reality wasn't always contrary to our dreams
Only if all dreams could have been realized
Only if realization din't always dawn after committing mistakes
Only if mistakes were far less than successes
Only if success wasn't something everybody except me had
Only if I had a little more time
Only if time was something that always remained good
Only if good things did not always have to end
Only if the end was not always bitter
Only if bitterness to anything never clouded our perception
Only if we perceived things the way they really are
Only if things wasn't always used to denote inanimate
Only if inanimate didn't always mean no feelings
Only if feeling could be controlled
Only if control wasn't at times the same as restrictions
Only if the restrictions were always reasonable
Only if reasoning was never understood as argument
Only if arguments always led to a better result
Only if the results were always according to our expectations
Only if expectations were not always hard to fulfill
Only if the word hard never qualified life
Only if life was a little simpler!!
